Thought for the day…you be you. I love the Dr Seuss quote “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” YOU are amazing! You have strengths and abilities that are exactly what you need. You have a personality and sense of humour that makes you special and just the person you should be. You be you, and you will be stronger, you will be the person you were meant to be.
This little piece of information is important for you, but this is also a lesson that is invaluable for your children. Your children will learn from watching you. They will learn to be true to themselves by watching you be true to “you”.
Love yourself and they will learn to love themselves.
Live your dreams and they will learn to live their dreams.
Accept your mistakes and they will learn to accept theirs.
Forgive yourself and they will learn to forgive themselves.
Our children learn by watching us, by walking next to us and living life next to us, mirroring the person that we are. If you are yourself and love yourself, then they stand a really good chance of doing the same.
So be “you”. Be the person you want to be. Dream your dreams and laugh in our own special way…be you without fear and your children will learn to be who they were meant to be. They will find their “YOU”.
