This course is aimed at adults who need to support contact with other adults or children.
Aim: To teach what the expectations are around contact and why we have contact. To teach a therapeutic way to support contact. Give you information to help complete Fostering Standards, by using the National Minimum Standards and the Training, Support & Development Standards for Foster Carers. Look at who you may work with.
Objectives: Look at the NMS that relate to contact in a fostering environment. Look at the TSD Standards relating to fostering contact (family time). Look at how contact time affects all parties. Minimise allegations. How to promote a good contact.
